Here comes the band. In the palms of their hands is the magical, musical key. Without it we sleep through the days of the week, but tonight it will keep you and me awake. Bodies collide; in the soundwaves confide. Defy all that keeps you afraid. Away from our voids is a deafening noise. Abandon your choices and claim the wave. Feed your head; let's get down tonight and raise the dead. Feed your head and get down. After the wave comes fresh air and the pavement. Who cares if the lights are all green? If we die tonight we'll die laughing despite those who think that they know what it means to be awake. Don't cast us as careless. It's just that we care for the things that define us the most. We want not for gold or the value it holds or a social status to boast. Keep it away. Feed your head; let's get down tonight and raise the dead. Feed your head and get down.

What a hothead. It makes no difference. Couldn't bring me down if you tried. No sweat off my back or panic attacks. In fact, you really look like a fool. So what? It's just words. We're not what you thought we were. Save your breath. I'm laughing under mine. What do you get from trying to undermine? Head's all amiss. Can't see past this. 'Cause there's a whole world on the other side. I think the other side would agree we've got the same blood to bleed. We feel bad for you, truly, and the fact that you need your small wins spent on sad, petty pities. Get your head out of your ass, and your ass out of this city. So what? It's just words. We're not what you thought we were. Save your breath. I'm laughing under mine. What do you get from trying to undermine?

Give It Time 04:22
I'm always floating around, never fully on the ground. Floating around, now I'm fully off the ground. So don't try and tie me down. I'm lost to the sound. I'm missing the old days. I've been so away. I'm away. Trying to throw it and catch it at the same time. Trying to throw this weight away and catch up to it at the same time. So don't try and tie me down. I'm lost to the sound. I'm missing the old days. I've been so away. I'm away. Just give it time. For now I'm fine. Separate. Keep calm. Just give it time. For now I'm fine. Separate. Keep calm. Calm.

Tendencies 03:46
See your chameleon skin laughing at the wall you blend yourself into. 'Cause your mind's got destinations where it's you, and only you. Your mind's got expectations. Take me home. But I love you, too. I swear. If you weren't there, then I might not care. I just want some time alone, I just need some time alone. Won't you leave me alone? Take me home. Strong deep breaths. The death of air has already set. It is everything you feared in full rotation. Regretting expectations. But I love you too, I swear. If you weren't there I wouldn't care. I just want some time alone. I need some time alone. Won't you leave me alone? Try and stand still. Try and stay in one place, but I need a breath of air before I look you in the face. Take the time to separate. Can't wrap myself in a digital screen, or just look down, or just look mean. Try to look as if I'm feeling great, but I try too hard 'til it's not worthwhile and they see through my crooked smile. Out comes the wicked lonely truth. Wayward is the fate that comes; it comes and goes 'round everyone. Then it wraps itself around you.

Lay down your head. Don't mind the world. Shouldn't have brought you in the first place. First place, baby I'm sorry for the world. The best intentions in the worst place. Worst place. They say that this is the right thing, but is this the right thing? 'Cause life is a nice thing, but people don't use it wisely. It's just more of the same, and I don't want just more of the same for us no more. You can call me afraid. Yeah, you can call me afraid, but the words don't work no more. Maybe it's me, and not the world. How could it be getting old means something different to me? How can I leave you in this world when sometimes it's not even where I want to be. They say that this is the right thing, but is this the right thing? 'Cause life is a nice thing, but people don't use it wisely. It's just more of the same, and I don't want just more of the same for us no more. You can call me afraid. Yeah, you can call me afraid, but the words don't work no more.

Fearmongerer 03:25
They aren't in it for the aftermath. Getting fat on mass production of mass destruction. Fearmonger's up to something. Come and join us in the lion's cage. That's if they even let you up to the gate. Just to get by everybody's always on something. They get away with it too. Fearmonger so do you. Dodging questions like an acrobat. You want to face off but never face facts. Until that day, we sink into corruption. Don't let the crooked lion bare his teeth. He's in the cage, too, so fuck his greed. If things go our way, the lion comes away with nothing. We'll get away with it too. Fearmonger so do you.

New Magic 03:18
I think the geezer's lost his mind. Seen him come from the far side of the mountain. He say's he's got new magic, but for some reason I just couldn't doubt him. "Thank you all," he said, "you've been so kind. Thank you all," he said, "you've been so kind. Come to the far side have a drink from the fountain. Come to the far side have a drink from the fountain". They don't wanna go, but he won't have it. Seems he's got a hold. Oh, he's gonna hold 'em down with his new magic. He doesn't know I'm close behind. I wanna see what the blind man's got in store, but now they've all turned rabid. Followed him right through the crooked door. Behind the door there is no space or time. Behind the door there is no space or time. One by one, they took a drink from the fountain. One by one they took a drink from the fountain. Then he turns to me- "You couldn't hack it!" Thought I wasn't seen. Oh, new magic's come for every living soul on the planet.

Make It Good 05:24
Been one long day since I've made a sound. Just might crack, but I'll come around. The wicked water doesn't flow and the brain can't deliver so the body doesn't know. Liquid drips from my fingertips. Words fall out of my clumsy lips, but I let it come slow. Let it come slow. Here I sit, fidget, and ponder. Mind tends to idle and wander at the same damn time. Sometimes I think these thoughts aren't mine. Shuffle 'round. Try to stumble on the next big thing. Mumble 'til I start to sing, but I let it come slow. Let it come slow. Words begin to fall. Ink, it stains the wall. It consumes us all. Words they cease to drawl. Submit to the call. It barks. It bites it mauls. It beckons you forward and brings you to crawl. Floors begin to fall. Grasping for the walls. I used to stand so tall... Fuck what I said before. Brain is thrashed and torn. Sprawling out onto the floor. So far gone, the foamy shores. So far gone are the shores we were longing for. When it's said and done I don't want anyone. Let's just duck and run. Just take me back to before. Getting relost in the blur. Push me back onto the floor. So far gone, the foamy shores. So far gone are the shore they were longing for.

Lovepill 04:09
Makes you want for a cigarette, and the thirst... It grows, but the hunger goes away. That's okay. I wanna press against your skin. I wanna taste your sin, want you to let me in. 'Cause now I'm up all day, and don't know when I'll come down. Let it steal your ugly pain, and melt away your lovely brain. Wish I had this every day, but in the back of my mind I know it's not okay. Not okay... But in the moment I'm in love with the breeze, and I'm in love with the music. Shaking at the knees. Let it steal your ugly pain, and melt away your lovely brain.
